Scanning law enforcement frequencies is straight forward. The county and cities have thier seperate dispatch frequencies and channel assignments. I have also included information on sheriff call signs in the law enforcement information section. Much like law enforcement, EMS is easy and simple to monitor. EMS use a call sign system similar to sheriff units. This system is described on the EMS page.

Fire protection is more complicated. Most cities have individual fire departments and dispatch frequencies for thier department. These cities are straight forward to follow.

CDF, County Fire Department, and CDF contract agencies are all dispatched on "County Net". Once these unites arrive on scene they switch to a "Command Net". These nets are listed under my CDFVarious fire protection districts throughout the county are dispatched on county net under CDF/County Frequencies page.

If you are unsure which department is dispatched on a particular frequency, go to the Fire Department Identification page.
