For CDF and most Placer Engines the numbers and descriptions below work. For example eninge 2686 belongs to District 26 and is a type 1 engine. The first two numbers tell the district number and the second two tell the type of unit. The table below shows the second two numbers with a description.

50-59Rescue Units (i.e. Jaws of Life, Medical Aid Units & Medics) & CDF Utility Units
60-69Can be called Type 3 Engines or Grass Units (Small 4x4 and in some district they handle Medical Aids & are called Squads)
